The Drill For Skill Academy is a basketball training facility located inside the Beaver Valley Auto Mall, just across from Macy's at the Beaver Valley Mall. We offer small-group instruction for youngsters in grades 3 through 12, gym rental for local rec and bantam teams, and gym rental for adult leagues, church groups and other organizations.

To create a basketball movement throughout the Pittsburgh area, serving as a skills-based feeder system for area high school programs. We will develop young leaders in the community through the game of basketball.

Training Classes...
Contact us for a schedule of times and dates. We make every attempt to group children by gender, age and skill level. Most of our sessions feature between four and eight students, but we have gone up to a maximum of 16 with two instructors. And you can be assured that each of our classes focuses on the fundamentals! We'll teach your children the proper fundamental progressions for ball-handling, shooting, passing and attacking the basket.
Three-on-Three Competition...
For class times that feature larger groups, we'll also conduct three-on-three competitions where our students can apply what they've learned. Research has shown that small-sided games offer more opportunities to practice skills in real situations. Young athletes learn by doing, and these three-on-three games lead to more fun, more involvement, more activity and more learning.
Winter Session Times and Dates ...
• Sundays from 4 to 5:30 p.m. — Junior high boys session, featuring fundamental skills training and game play afterward. Please reserve your spot in advance. Each class will comprise no more than 16 students.
• Mondays from 6:30 to 7:45 p.m. — Fundamentals skills training, and special shooting instruction using The Gun. Game play will follow if the group is large enough.
• Your Time — If you have a group of players that you would like to bring in for instruction at another time, call us at (724) 980-4182 and we'll talk.
The Cost...

Why enroll your child in one of our sessions? Within weeks, you will notice a dramatic improvement in your child's skill level, self-confidence and basketball IQ. Gym Rentals...
Have a youth team and need a place to practice? Have an adult league and need a place to play? We offer rental of our facility on a nightly basis. Our beautiful gym features five hoops that can be raised and lowered to meet the needs of your team. We also have racks filled with basketballs of all sizes, and jump ropes if you would like to use them for conditioning. The cost to rent the facility is $40 for each 75-minute session, which breaks down to about $4 per student for a typical team. Your team, church or organization may qualify for a special discount.
