Individual and Group Instruction
Teacher. Winner. Hall of Famer. Legend.
Imagine if those were the credentials of your personal basketball trainer. They can be. And his services are just a click away.
Coach John Miller is ready to share his proven basketball teaching system with you. And when we say "proven system," it just might be an understatement. The legendary former Blackhawk High coach won eight
WPIAL titles and four state championships during his illustrious career that has spanned more than 40 years.
He's also trained three of his children — Sean, Archie and Lisa — to become Division I college basketball stars. Sean and Archie are now among the hottest coaches in the nation and both are at the University
of Arizona, a perennial Top 25 program.
In addition, Coach Miller groomed his cousin, John Calipari, for success at the highest level. Thanks to Coach Miller's instruction, Calipari played Division I basketball and is now the head coach at
the University of Kentucky.
Isn't it time to let the First Family of Hoops show you how to make hoops first in your family?
Although he's retired from the sideline, Coach Miller maintains an intense passion for the game of basketball and loves to see youngsters develop to their fullest potential. Oftentimes, that means great
success at the high school and college levels.
In addition to his children and Calipari, Coach Miller's former students also include Dante Calabria, a standout at the University of North Carolina and a professional in Italy, Spain and France for 13
seasons. Other notable players taught by Coach Miller include Brandon Fuss-Cheatham (Ohio State), Jim Cantamessa (Siena), Darren Tielch (Robert Morris), Ryan Evanochko (Wisconsin-Green Bay) and many more
at all collegiate levels.
Though he's a member of three different halls of fame, Coach Miller is just as comfortable working with youngsters as he is with college and professional players.
